Arizona Western College
Northern Arizona University-Yuma Branch Campus and Arizona Western College not only share facilities on the AWC campus but also a vision for expanding higher education in southwestern Arizona. NAU-Yuma and AWC have established an innovative educational partnership, which allows students to either begin or complete lower division courses while concurrently taking upper-division courses at NAU-Yuma. The "Partnership Advantage" provides NAU-Yuma students with:
- Diversified courses of study with day, evening, weekend scheduling
- Shared multi-million dollar Learning Resource Center and academic facilities
- Cultural opportunities within an international community
- Beautiful, secure residential campus with a Fitness Center and student activities
Imperial Valley College
Northern Arizona University-Yuma Branch Campus also shares an academic partnership with Imperial Valley College (IVC) in California. Under the Arizona Board of Regents’ “Good Neighbor Policy,” IVC students are able to transfer and take up to 6 credit hours at NAU-Yuma without having to pay out-of-state tuition fees. This policy currently applies to students starting an academic program at NAU-Yuma from Fall 2008 and who live within a 75-mile radius. Students can also receive financial support through the Western Undergraduate Exchange and the NAU-Yuma Tuition Scholarship. Learn More about these tuition assistance opportunities.
Additionally, students completing the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) at IVC are able to transfer those courses as a block to satisfy all of Northern Arizona University’s lower-division liberal studies requirements.
