A college education is one of the best investments you can make for your future. Although NAU-Yuma offers the lowest tuition rates in the state, you may need to take advantage of financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
There are several types of financial aid available to you:
To be eligible for most financial aid, you need to be enrolled in at least six credit hours – two classes – every semester. You must also complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. NAU School Code: 001082.
The FAFSA determines your eligibility for Pell Grant, state grants, Direct Student Loans, and other need- and non-need-based aid. Please note you may be contacted by NAU to submit additional documents.
As a student, it is your responsibility your tuition is paid. Check the Calendar for payment deadlines, financial aid disbursement and refund dates.
Scholarships are a form of student financial aid that does not need to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded by private organizations such as honor societies, non-profits, and businesses.
As an NAU-Yuma student, you may be eligible to apply for scholarship opportunities such as:
The NAU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid offers STARS, a one-stop-shop scholarship application. Apply annually. Application deadline is March 1 of every year.
NAU-Yuma offers several local scholarship opportunities. Contact the NAU-Yuma Office of Financial Aid for more information. Application deadline is March 1.
